Christmas break kicked off with a visit from Lena's class dinosaur, Dizzy Each weekend her teacher picks a different child to take home one of two dinosaurs
The days leading up to Christmas brought some pretty intense discussions at our house. Jason insisted we open presents on Christmas Day while I accused him of trying to ruin the holiday by not following my tradition of opening everything on Christmas Eve. You could say we're both a bit stubborn
On Christmas Eve, our local church held a crib and christingle service. I had no idea what it meant or what to expect but thought it would be something nice for us to do as a family this year.
You may remember last year that we attended the Hillsong Christmas concert at Wembley Arena and I was just a little bit obsessed with the daydream of someday playing with the London-based church. Well, it happened and it was brilliant!
Right before Christmas, we took a day trip to Liverpool which is where my cousin Tor has been going to university for the past four years. He's an incredible guitarist and lead singer and has been performing all over Europe for the past few years with a number of up and coming bands.
I am still in a bit of shock over our new place and that we get to live here. It's a brand new house, 3 stories, with 4 bedrooms and a bathroom on each floor. The bathrooms may be my favorite part as they remind me of a hotel.
We are now 5 weeks into life as "Englishters" and I am slowly starting to feel settled. Granted, there is still a lot of organizing that needs to be done in our house but at least we have a permanent home!
