So, we are having another baby! We waited a while to share the news with everyone and I suppose this is technically our official announcement

Linton Zoo And BBQ

After a week of waiting and hoping, a flight finally showed up and it was headed directly to Seymour Johnson, of all places. This was the best possible scenario and we were ecstatic but still a bit cautious as we weren't sure we'd actually get on the flight. Since we had a couple days to kill before the flight actually left, we decided to take Lena to the Linton Zoo.

Making Friends

Making new friends can be tricky. I consider myself a veteran mover and pretty adept at meeting people after living in three different states and one non-English-speaking country. However, in all those instances, I had a job where I met a few people I really liked and then just wormed my way into their social circles. Additionally, in North Carolina, we went to an amazing church where I genuinely liked every single person I ever met. That's pretty unusual and if you're ever near Goldsboro, I highly recommend checking out The Bridge

Welcome, welcome!

This little blog has been seeing a bit more traffic lately so I wanted to say HELLO! to all you newcomers. Thanks for taking the time to check out Identical Twinge; I hope you'll stick around. If you feel chatty, would you mind commenting and telling me what you enjoy reading about the most? At the moment, I write about whatever seems interesting to me on a particular day. It's usually inspired by the millions of photos I have of little Miss Bacon Bit and our daily adventures here in England. So fill me in; what do you want to see?

"You've got gumption." The Sarge said this to me the other day after taking the Bacon Bit to a new play group. After I got done laughing at him for speaking like an octogenarian, I thought about what he said. It was actually a pretty nice compliment.

Sketchpads And Crayons

We're currently a one-car family so the schedule changes coupled with cold and rainy weather has forced me to get more creative in coming up with activities to entertain myself and the Bacon Bit. After a few days of being stuck in the house, everything starts closing in on you. So, I decided we should do some crafts and I went hunting through the closet for some supplies.
