Wanting to tire Lena out before our long flight home, we took her to Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh. I'm certainly no expert on children's museums but I have to think this one ranks up there as one of the best.

Lena’s Second Birthday

For Lena second birthday we rented the local tumble gym for an hour and let the kids run wild. We are blessed to have an amazing community of both friends and family who love Lena as if she was their own. Despite many of them not having young children, everyone came out to watch the birthday girl show off her gymnastics moves.

After a week of waiting and hoping, a flight finally showed up and it was headed directly to Seymour Johnson, of all places. This was the best possible scenario and we were ecstatic but still a bit cautious as we weren't sure we'd actually get on the flight. Since we had a couple days to kill before the flight actually left, we decided to take Lena to the Linton Zoo.

Blessed

For the past three weeks, we've been living at our friend's house. Surprisingly, we haven't wanted to kill each other yet which is impressive considering there are four adults, one toddler and three dogs all living under the same roof. Uncle Ducky and Auntie Meow, as we affectionately call them, are practically saints.

Amber Alert

Missing: Energetic and hyper 20-something who loves socializing and going out on weekends. Made a daily effort to put on make-up and clean clothes. Could be found traveling to New York for work, art directing photoshoots and designing print materials. Fiercely independent and career motivated. Last seen in Arizona and Washington state.

A moving company is coming to our house tomorrow to "assess" our belongings and officially start the paperwork portion of our move to England. I'm sure they see all varieties of homes but for some reason, I felt the need to clean. I'm pretty sure it's because my mom is more OCD than Martha Stewart. And just as a sidenote, the sounds of sewing machines, wooden looms and vacuums all make me feel at home.
