While all our American friends were kicking off summer break, we were still in full swing with school, festivals, and end-of-year festivities. I'm not sure I'll ever get used to the British schedule where the last day of school comes at the end of July but having completed a full year now, I definitely see it's advantages.
We got to celebrate Lena's second birthday a little early as my mom came to visit at the end of July. As is customary, she arrived with an entire suitcase full of gifts.

After all the excitement of the Fairy Godparents' visit, we had a quiet few weeks dotted with a few festivals and playdates. I am a sucker for any type of fair or event as I love browsing the stalls and getting free samples.
